Preparing for your session
- Arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to session time
- Wear enclosed shoes (no thongs or any footwear exposing the toes)
- Bring a long sleeve shirt or jumper (particularly during cooler months)
- Wear sunscreen (available for purchase from on-site vending machine)
- Wear a hat and sun protective clothing/eyewear
- Water is available from vending machine and bubblers

From Homebush Bay Drive
- Travel along Australia Avenue
- Turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Bennelong Parkway
- Follow Bennelong Parkway, veering right at Archery Park signage
- Archery Centre is on your left opposite the Waterfront Apartments.
From Holker Street (Silverwater)
- Travel along Holker Street
- Turn left at Hill Road
- Turn right at Bennelong Parkway
- Archery Centre is on your right opposite the Waterfront Apartments
From Parramatta Road and M4
- Turn left at Hill Road.
- Turn right at Bennelong Parkway.
From Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf
- Travel along Hill Road.
- Turn left at Bennelong Parkway and the Archery Centre is on the right hand side of the road opposite the Waterfront Apartments. Approximately a 20 minute walk.
From Sydney Olympic Park Station
- Walk along Murray Rose Avenue towards Australia Avenue.
- Turn left down Australia Avenue
- Turn right at Marjorie Jackson Parkway
- Cross through Wentworth Common and follow the pathway until you reach Bennelong Parkway
- Turn left and the Archery Centre is on the same side of the road opposite the Waterfront Apartments. Approximately a 30 minute walk.

Conditions of entry
- Sydney Olympic Park Archery Centre is a non-smoking venue.
- Anyone attempting to use the Archery Centre without paying or without authorisation will be prosecuted.
- Any patrons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted into the Archery Centre.
- Instructions given by Archery Centre staff must be followed at all times. Refusal to follow instructions may result in removal from the Centre.
- Acting in a dangerous manner to others may result in removal from the Centre.
- Abusive, disruptive or offensive behaviour and language are not permitted. Offenders will be removed from the Centre.
- Children under 6 years are not permitted to shoot.
- Children under 15 years must have adult (18 years and over) supervision at all times.
- Anyone participating in archery must be appropriately attired, minimum requirements include covered shoes only and long hair tied back.
- Pets or animals in the Archery Centre must be on a leash.
- Archery Centre staff only are permitted to conduct formal archery coaching sessions.
- All archers undertaking programs at the Archery Centre will be required to complete a safety induction prior to shooting.
- Programs conducted at the Archery Centre have a minimum number of participants, if these numbers are not met participants may be requested to reschedule.
For safety reasons the maximum number of participants in programs conducted by the Archery Centre will not be exceeded.
Conditions of entry are subject to change without notice. Management reserves the right to refuse entry. Refusal to comply with these conditions of entry may result in the removal of the offender from the Centre.
About the venue
The Archery Centre is an example of ecologically sustainable development where the buildings were constructed from recycled and recyclable materials, including all the steel work, and are naturally ventilated and lit. The roof is the longest piece of colourbond steel and the walls are made up of recycled timber. The poles holding the roof up are in the design of arrows.
The 6.5 hectare Archery Centre site is surrounded by natural mangrove wetlands and two sculptural ‘pole forests’ made from 185 recycled timber electricity poles. The idea of the pole forest grew from the desire to place trees in the landscape, and to evoke a sense of the forest, with the sport of archery. However the soil and site conditions did not allow this, and so the idea of recycling dead trees ie the telegraph poles, into a sculptural forest element to embrace the site was born.
